Good wood
should not go
to waste

Natural grain makes every solid wood piece unique. Sometimes, a detail in texture, tone or finish falls outside the visual standard of our regular collection.

The piece still follows the original Tero design and works as intended. We set it aside for the Crooked Sale and price it according to how visible the cosmetic detail is.

Good wood. Careful craftsmanship. A little difference, honestly priced.

What you can expect

The difference
is only visual

Same Tero design, materials and construction. The difference is in the grain, texture, tone or finish—not how the piece works. The Crooked Grade tells you how noticeable that cosmetic detail is.

Understanding the Crooked Grade

Each piece has a Crooked Grade based on how visible its cosmetic detail is. Both grades are fully usable; the discount reflects the grade.

Grade 1

Barely there

A faint difference in grain, texture, tone or finish. Difficult to spot at a glance and usually noticed only during close inspection.

25% off the regular price

Subtle grain differences in solid wood
Cosmetic detail visible on a closer look

Grade 2

Visible on a closer look

A cosmetic detail that is easier to find once you know where to look. It remains limited to the surface and does not affect how the piece is used.

35% off the regular price

The Crooked price reflects the grade assigned to the piece.

The Crooked Sale,
explained

What is the Crooked Sale?

The Crooked Sale offers selected Tero solid wood products with cosmetic differences in grain, texture, tone or finish. They follow the original design and work as intended. Grade 1 pieces are 25% off the regular price; Grade 2 pieces are 35% off.

How noticeable are the imperfections?

Grade 1 is barely noticeable and usually seen only during close inspection. Grade 2 is easier to find on a closer look. Both grades describe cosmetic visibility only.

Is anything else different?

No. Every Crooked piece follows the original Tero design, uses the intended materials and construction, and remains fully usable for its intended purpose.

Can I see the exact imperfection before ordering?

We use photos from the regular product listing to show the design. They do not show the exact cosmetic detail on the piece you will receive. Grain and finishing details vary, so read the Crooked Grade before ordering. All Crooked pieces are sold as-is, with no returns, refunds or exchanges.

Does every piece have the same imperfection?

No. Grain, texture, tone and finishing details vary from piece to piece. The Crooked Grade describes how easy the cosmetic detail is to notice.

Why the lower price?

The price reflects the cosmetic grade assigned to the piece: 25% off for Grade 1 and 35% off for Grade 2. The original design and function remain unchanged.
